Which bike is better, the new Yamaha V-Star 1300 or the Honda VTX 1300?

I'm getting ready to purchase one of them. My research points to the Yamaha. I would be interested in hearing other opinions.

i am a honda nut... that being said, if you really will not step up to the 1800, go for the vstar... id prefer everyone on the planet rode a honda but... that vstar is nice... IF 1300 is your limit...my dads got a vtx 1300, when riding it, it feels just as big as the 1800 but lots less power. that vstar is a slightly smaller package.

Try Edmunds.com.... Not sure they review bikes or not though.Also before making any"large"purchase, I suggest going to www.consumerreports.org It cost 20 bucks for a year long subscription and you get GOOD, unbiased info including repair history, etc etc. Well worth the $20 and once subscribed you can use it for the next year to check out anything else you might be wanting to purchase.....Hope this helps,Dave
