Hey drew,I believe the CBR F41 is a 600 in the usa, .R1 is never a good beginner bike, Never.A 250cc is always recomended because it is the smallest cc street bike production made. Street bikes can get away from you real fast and are known for maming new and experiaenced riders alike. I have friends that have ridden years who are perm crippeled now, and of course others who never seem to get hurt. But with that said, I recomend a used 250cc Ninja, Then a 600 would be my second choice. Once you learn and hone your skills a 1000 would be fine.Good luck and keep the shinney side up.
