Default How to retorque head on 1979 Honda Goldwing?

I think i might need a new head gasket, but the dealer told me to try and retorque my head on the bike, how the heck do i do that?HELP!

It sounds like you are out of your league here. Most Honda stealers don't want to touch any bike past 10 years old. Parts are hard to find, techs are not up- to date with older models, and so on.Where are you?There are a lot of independent shops around that aren't afraid to work on the older stuff.

Remove the L&R valve covers and tighten the head bolts to the specified torque, using a torque wrench.

did this on my gl1000. if you have a clymers manual you can do this. if you think you need a new head gasket then get them and change both. if you need more tech advice than the clymers manual then go to steve saunders gold wing forum.everyone there will help.
