Default what motorcycle to buy?

i have never driven a motorcycle before. and im looking into buying my first bike. people say ill get bored with a 250 so looking at the kawasaki zx 14. does anyone think this is a smart decision. i like the idea of being able to go really fast. also is there a law agains having two passengers

terrible idea to get the zx14. you want something that you won't be afraid to explore the limits of, and the throttle on that zx14 is scary, even to people with many years of experience. don't worry about outgrowing a smaller bike, their are people who race 250's their whole life and still have lots of room to improve. you will have the opportunity to own many bikes. I hear of many people that get liter+ bikes as a first bike, get scared of the throttle, and then never ride again. if a 250 seems too small for you, then try a 500 like gs500 or ex500 or a 650 twin like sv650 or ninja 650.its more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.
