2007 Yamaha R6 Shuts off when idling?

My R6 has been cutting off on me when its idling for the past week now. I talked to a dealership about it but they just want me to come in so I can spend money doing maintenance checks.When I ever I pull the clutch in and stop the idle fluctuates up and down below 2000 RPM. Not all the time but some times the engine justs cuts off. It starts right back up but I do not want this to lead to further or bigger problems. If there is any mechanicley inclined people who know what the problem is and how to fix it, I would appreciate it.

When was the last time the carbs - air cleaner were serviced?I'm guessing thats the problem here.Either that or your not full of antifreeze and the engine is overheating, possible water pump bad too.It might be a good idea to get it serviced by a pro, if your rnot familiar with these bikes.
