Default Should there be any play in the piston and connecting rod in my kawasaki kx80?

i just got a kx80 and the piston blew upi put a new one in it and it seems to have movement in between were the connecting rod meets the piston is this ok or what

sidways movment is ok,now up/down movement is another matter

wonder do you forget to add needle cage roller bearing ?As for side by side. It have small movements on side by side. That normal. But if piston have excessive movement by up and down while you hold the connection rod. You might forgot to add bearing or worn out.Is the piston break into pieces?? If it does. That means no bearing. ( top bearing ) that cause the piston hit on bottom of crankshaft and cylinder head.Other possible is connection rod ( lower ) might have excessive worn out. Also feel if the conection have movement while you pull up and down. Dont let the crankshaft move. If its movement. You need to replace the connection rod kit
