good question..youll be hard p[ressed to find that out unless someone has tryed...best ring dealers..if there the same part number then they will fit.

I checked part nos on-line and the cylinder design changed in 1990. 1990-01 are the same and 1985-89 are the same.http://www.mrcycles.com/

When you compare the pictures of the two model years from an online fiche like the one a www.hondanlr.com they sure look alot alike...Check it out, you can open one then click the"Large Image"button and it will open in a new window then change the model in the other window to see both at once...

Unhappy hey, i'm want to put cr500 motor in a cr250 frame"ALum"

manuals for cr500 "1988-01" but not sure if this means engine is diff. I think its not worth finding out the hard way.
