All foreign bikes are reliable with proper maintanence. I've seen 40K on an 89'Gixer. Comfort is subjective. I've had 3 cafe` bikes and a VMax. The riding position on the cafe` leans forward, putting the pressure on your wrists and lower back, while crowding your legs a bit (I'm 5'8''). I was only good for 200 miles before I had to get off. That doesn't include all the stretching while riding. It's a great commuter as 600's get approximately 35-40 mpg.

The end finish quality is generaly not so good as Honda but the engines / electrics etc are reliable. Most jap bikes built after 1985 are pretty much bulletproof, its the past owners neglect and lack of servicing that ruins them.If the bike feels right you then buy it, look after it and it will serve you as faithful as a labrador pup!
