Ninja 250?

I'm about to get the permit, take the course for a motorcycle license. Question is simply; Is the Kawasaki Ninja 250 a better choice than the Honda Nighthawk 250, I'm aware of the power differences, what about to learn on?

The newer Ninja's are supposed to be great first bikes. I'll tell you what I was told though....and it rang true....go for a Ninja 500R. It is just as easy to learn on and if you ever want to get out on the highway you have the adequate passing power you need.

I have to agree with joes--the Ninja 500r is probably your best bet. It's as easy a ride as the 250, and you definitely have the juice to get out of the way of idiots in cars who don't pay attention to motorcycles.
