I have been riding dirtbikes my whole life. Looking to get a streetbike this summer...what I can't understand is why sportbikes have the handlebars angled in towards the rider and not straight like a dirtbike? Is this a more comfortable position? I would think it would be harder to control. Maybe I should just go with the SV650 with the straight bars.

the clipons (handle bars) can be rotated to fit you how you like it. but the SV 650 is a great first street bike. especially since you have previous motorcycle experience.... just remember all of the people you ride in the dirt with are motorcyclists the same cannot be said for 99% of the people on the road the first rule of street riding is..... if the guy in the car is trying to kill you or does not see you
