how can i put lights on a 2-stroke 440cc SS yamaha motorcycle without a battery ? I am trying to get it street legal so I can drive it around town . And what can I do to get it some what no so loud ? 2-stroke 440cc SS yamaha ( Snowmobile on two wheels ) it runs by pull start and two coils i was hoping that i could put them to my coils and run them that way it would be 1 headlight and a tail light/brake light .

I would get a meter or just use a simple circuit tester or you could make one from a 12v light bulb. Find what few wires are coming from the engine and see if any have power when the motor is running. There should be something that has power. If it was a snowmobile engine there would have to be something that ran the brake and headlights. As for noise just put a small automotive muffler or maybe a small glasspack after the 2 stroke pipe. JC whitney can be a good place for stuff like that.
