Bought my first bike a couple weeks ago from my g/f co-worker and it's been a lot of fun. The only downside was that he didn't take the best care of some of the maintenance. I had a bill for $430 this week to do a complete overhaul of the bike to mainly focus on the air filter, sync of the carbs, and valve adjustement. I know for a fact these 3 things hadn't been changed in 10k miles. He was to the point of keeping the bike but pondering the thought of selling it. I wanted to buy it and he told me that it would need an air filter, but I felt more comfortable just paying for a full service. Now the bike screams, but the only difficult part is getting used to when I let out the clutch and not give it throttle it dies quicker. Before I had a bit before it would stumble, but now it seems it comes a lot quicker.
Have fun riding everyone and never go out with a helmet!:) |

It came with a Shoei RF-800, but I bought a Shoei RF-1000 last week, because the 800 is about 3-5 years old. I was able to get the new helmet for $200 shipped on ebay. I was able to find a really good deal on it.

I'm at work. Now that I have 15 posts I can put up a pic, unless this site allows me to use photobucket to upload. If that is the case then I can upload it here at work. Do you know what's allowed to upload pics?

I have a 96 bandit 600s, its a nice first bike :) still pretty quick too, mine is idling weird though, I just got some new needle valves and they need to be adjusted. How many miles do you have under your belt, and what color is the bike?

Bike is blue and I have probably 300 miles on my belt. I started riding on public roads the first day. That wasn't the best idea, but I needed to get some practice with traffic. Now I have no problems riding in public roads.
