How far would you be willing to travel to buy a used bike the the$2500 range.
For instance...I live in Redding,CA. Is it reasonable to travel to Sacramento?

It depends on how sure you are that the guy will hold it for you. Some people will want money up front (which I'd be hesitant to give). Others don't tell you that there are other people interested in the bike. I almost went across town to pick up a bike last night but luckily I couldn't find anyone that would ride it home for me. It turns out that it sold before I could have gotten there. Then today I went to look at a bike and a couple of guys showed up while I was looking at it. Luckily I was the first one to put cash in the guy's hand so I walked away with it that time.

I don't know...but I'm kinda nuts...I know about this Suzi DR350 in Oregon...that's 1200 miles one way... could you imagine riding that back?
