Default Jacks Rebel Floorboards

I received my Jacks floorboards today. Anyone know why they rock back and forth? We tightened the bolt until it won't go any more. Are they supposed to do this? I wouldn't think so. Does anyone know what might be wrong. I hate to call him if there is an easy fix that I don't know about. Thank's for any help.

What is the axis of rotation? Floorboards are supposed to rise up (axis of rotation parallel to direction of bikes travel) when the ground is encountered in a turn (like a foot peg).

Hi Teesee,

I had the floorboards on my 2005 for awhile.
You are correct, I do not remember much sideplay.
What you can do is use washers for shims.
That will take care of the rocking.

Best Regards,

CALL JACK ASAP, it will let him know there is a problem, he is not aware of. Jack would NEVER knowingly ship a defective part, give him a call 1-800-240-0393

Mine didn't rock but the angle would shift if I put pressure on the front. In other words, I would adjust them how I wanted them and they would shift while I was riding.
I fixed it with a star washer.

When you installed the star washer did you place it in between the bolt and the bracket or behind the 9/16 nut that tightens the boards to the bracket? My husband said that he thought about using a star washer between the stainless steel and the black bracket that attaches to the bike.
