Pocket bikes are reduced versions of motorcycles with a 49cc engine or less. They are also disposable bikes since it is difficult or impossible to find spare parts (économically). Buying bargain prices pocketbikes, motorcycles and scooters without an established dealer network are a bad idea.

Pocket bikes are noisy and NOT legal on street, so what is the idea to buy one?

Yeah I agree most ppl buying them are really buying them for the novelty not really useful in anyway. However from a naming stand point I'm not quite sure what to call these bikes on this page Category:Pocket bikes - CycleChaos (called them pocket bikes for now but they really aren't what is generally thought of as a pocket bike.

Default Minibike Wiki section

Hi Ben,
Maybe the section should be called "Minibike"
According to Wikipedia definition and a few other sources, a Pocket bike or Minimoto engine is usually limited to 50cc or less. A reduced size motorcycle version of 80 or 100cc would likely be called a midi moto. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minibike

You may never be able to get a universally accepted definition because of local laws that are quite variable from one state or one country to another.

I think it is a good idea to limit the wiki to major brands of motorcycle who can provide a support network for parts and service, or to any model that has a significant historical or technological interest.
