The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90 S18 front tire and a 110/80 S16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 280mm disc in the front and a drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks.

The 1988 MZ ETZ 301 has, at its heart, an air-cooled, two-stroke, 291cc, single cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 23 horsepower at 5500 rpm. This naked machine comes standard with a chromed exhaust system, forged-aluminum wheels, a telescopic front fork, dual shocks as a rear suspension, a dual seat with passenger grab rails and a center stand.
