The Ducati BRIO 48 was a Single cylinder, Two-stroke, Air-cooled scooter produced by Ducati in 1963. Claimed horsepower was 4.96 HP (3.7 KW) @ 5200 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 38.1mm bore x 38.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 47.6 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 3-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.75x9 front tire and a 2.75x9 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Swinging shackle fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, dual rubber shocks.

Brio 48 is the first scooter build by Ducati in 1963. One year after its launch, the Brio 48 was joined by a 100cc version.
