The Yamaha TT 250 was a Single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled Trial motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1980 and 1982.
Engine
A 76.2mm bore x 76.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis
It came with a 300-21 front tire and a 510-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Stanchion tube diameter while the rear was equipped with a Adjustable preload monoshock. The TT 250 was fitted with a 0.53 Gallon (2.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.98 inches (1422 mm) long.
1981 Yamaha TT 250
The TT250 (and its XT 250 brother) have several hidden secrets. They are light at about 107.04 Kg (236 pounds) with the 2.8 Kg (6.2 pound) silencer removed (CRF 230 is 105 Kg (233 lbs). 105 kg is pretty light for a four-stroke. They have a low seat height of 83.82 cm (33 in) which makes touching the ground twixt trees easier.
