The main carburetor passage through which air is sucked and which, in turn, sucks up and vaporizes the gas as it passes (a process known as the venturi effect). Commonly compared by the diameter of the opening.
Sometimes a venturi is also called a choke, this often refers to a moving part with restricts the amount of incoming air making the mixture richer.
