1969 Honda CL70K0 Scrambler 70


  • Followed the pattern for all Scramblers: slightly raised handlebars, exhaust pipe upswept just above the crankcase and relatively horizontal
  • Available colors: Candy Red with silver and Candy Blue with silver
  • Frame and swingarm: painted the candy color
  • Headlight bucket: silver
  • Fuel tank: silver
  • The badge was stamped into the tank and a rubber knee patch was attached to the rear sides of the tank
  • The speedometer was housed in the headlight bucket
  • The upper fork covers (i.e., fork ears) were chrome
  • Engine: 72cc OHC single cylinder
  • Transmission: 4-speed with manual clutch
  • Serial number began CL70-100002

  • Available colors: Candy Sapphire Blue with Silver Metallic and Candy Topaz Orange with Silver Metallic
  • Frame and swingarm were painted the candy color
  • Headlight bucket: candy color

  • Tank emblem/badge was replaced with a decal
  • No knee patch attached to the rear sides of the tank
  • Speedometer was separate from the headlight bucket
  • The upper fork covers (i.e., fork ears) were chrome
  • The shock springs were covered

  • Similar to the 1971 model
  • Available colors: Candy Sapphire Blue with Special Silver Metallic and Candy Ruby Red with Special Silver Metallic
  • The frame and swingarm were painted the candy color
  • The fuel tank was silver with black and red pinstripes
  • The headlight bucket was black and the upper fork covers were chrome
  • The speedometer was separate from the headlight bucket
  • The shock springs were covered
  • The exhaust pipe was angled a little higher this year and had a black heat shield
  • Engine: 72cc OHC single cylinder
  • Transmission: 4-speed with manual clutch
  • The serial number began: CL70-1300001
