The VF1100S'84 V65 Sabre was sold in 1984 in one of two color schemes: Black with Pleiades Silver Metallic and Red or Black with Maroon and Silver. VF1100S'85 V65 Sabre was sold in 1985 in one of two color schemes: Black with Monte Rosa Silver Metallic and Red or Black with Monte Rosa Silver Metallic and Blue. The blue or red colors were only in the stripes. The speedometer numbers were in increments of 10 ending in "5" (e.g., 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, etc.). The control levers had screw-type adjusters. The engine was a 1098cc DOHC 4-valve liquid-cooled V-4 linked to a 6-speed transmission and a shaft drive. The serial number began 1HFSC170*FA100001.
