Indian was commissioned by the U.S. Government to built an initial batch of 1,056 models of this multi-terrain machine. The Government decided to cancel the project so the bikes remained unsold. With the end of hostilities, they were offered to the public priced at $500.00 each.

The Indian 841 was a v2, four-stroke standard produced by Indian between 1941 and 1943. It could reach a top speed of 70 mph (113 km/h).
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 73.0mm bore x 89.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 737.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a sidevalves.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a girder fork coil springs and shock absorber while the rear was equipped with a plungertype with coil springs. The 841 was fitted with a 5.0 Gallon (18.93 Liters) fuel tank.
