The Danish firm of Nimbus only produced one format of bikes, consisting of a 750cc, aircooled in-line four-cylinder engine with shaft drive. Founded in 1919 the earlier models had inlet-over-exhaust valve operation, and later bikes used a redesigned, SOHC moto producing 22bhp. Nimbus's military fours were much-used by the Danish armed forces, but the civilian models didn't find much success outside of Denmark. Nimbus closed in the late 1950s.
