The '''[[Yamaha]] SR250SE''' was a single cylinder, [[four-stroke]] Classic [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Yamaha]] between 1978 and 1983. It could reach a top speed of 71 mph (115 km/h). Max [[torque]] was 14.01 ft/lbs (19.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 16.63 HP (12.4 KW) @ 7400 RPM.  

==Engine==
The engine was a [[air cooled]] single cylinder, four-stroke. A 73.5mm [[bore]] x 56.5mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 240.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (OHC).  

==Drive==
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.  

==Chassis==
It came with a 3.00-19 front [[tire]] and a 120/90-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The front suspension was a  Telescopic Forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual Shock. The SR250SE was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 52.8 inches (1341 mm) long.

The Yamaha SR 250 has the same engine from [[Yamaha XT250|XT250]], single side drum front brake and some other components, such as the sanil-type rear chain adjuster, showed similar trail antecedents.
