The 2009 MY Ducati 1098R Bayliss Limited Edition has been restricted to only 500 units worldwide, and comes with an individually numbered plaque mounted on the steering head. It bears the livery that Troy Bayliss used on several machines to win races for the Ducati Corse team. In all other departments it has the same features and technologies found on the R version of the 1098.
