The Honda VFR800X Crossrunner was a v4, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Honda between 2011 and 2019. Max torque was 55.39 ft/lbs (75.1 Nm) @ 8500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 102.45 HP (76.4 KW) @ 10250 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled v4, four-stroke. A 72.0mm bore x 48.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 782.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiplate with coil springs.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. floating discs. hydraulic. four-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. hydraulic. two-piston calipers. in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm hmas cartridge-type telescopic fork with stepless preload and ten df adjustment, 108mm axle travel while the rear was equipped with a pro-link with gas-charged hmas damper, 7-step (stepless remote-controlled hydraulic) preload and stepless rebound damping adjustment, 120mm axle travel. The VFR800X Crossrunner was fitted with a 5.49 Gallon (20.80 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 58.07 inches (1475 mm) long.
2011 Honda Crossrunner[edit | edit source]
The 2010 Honda Crossrunner takes sport-touring to a new level, with a hefty increase in displacement over the traditional Transalp series, and a new engine philosophy. The powerplant of the 2010 Crossrunner is an 800cc V4 which can deliver pretty much anything a middleweight tourer needs: serious torque for rough terrain, lot of usable power for highway hauls and a feeling of being in control even with a passenger and lots of gear on the bike.
Add in the convenience and peace of mind the PGM fuel injection brings, adjustable suspensions, light cast aluminum wheels and a fun-focused 6-speed transmission for a truly surprising bike which can really go the extra distance and will not fear going off the road, especially with more aggressive tires.
