The MBK Flipper was a single cylinder, four-stroke scooter produced by MBK between 1997 and 2009. Max torque was 2.58 ft/lbs (3.5 Nm) @ 6250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 3.08 HP (2.3 KW) @ 6500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 40.0mm bore x 39.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.2 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a automatic transmission. Power was moderated via the automatic centrifugal.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 70/90-m16 front tire and a 80/90-m16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a unit swing. The Flipper was fitted with a 1.85 Gallon (7.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 588.63 pounds (267.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 50.94 inches (1294 mm) long.
1997 MBK Flipper[edit | edit source]
Flipper backs up its black elegance with real ability. Those delicate-looking but strong 16inch alloy wheels swallow up city road imperfections.
