The Yamaha SDR 200 was a Liquid Cooled, Two Stroke, Single Cylinder, YPVS Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1986. It could reach a top speed of 105 mph (169 km/h). Max torque was 19.92 ft/lbs (27.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 34.06 HP (25.4 KW) @ 9000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled Liquid Cooled, Two Stroke, Single Cylinder, YPVS. A 66.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 195.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a port control.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/80-17 front tire and a 110/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single Disc 2 Piston Calipers in the front and a Single Disc 2 Piston Calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic Forks while the rear was equipped with a Monocross. The wheelbase was 52.6 inches (1336 mm) long.
1986 - 1993 Yamaha SDR 200[edit | edit source]
The SDR featured a two-stroke single cylinder engine with Yamaha’s YPVS technology. The 195cc engine was good for 34 horsepower, and the motorcycle had a 6-speed transmission. All of that came in a package that weighed just 253 pounds, enabling a claimed top speed of 99 miles per hour.
