2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 World GP 50th Anniversary Edition[edit | edit source]
Yamaha celebrates half a century since the very first MotoGP race of the house Iwata, and a special livery was ordered for the limited edition R1 machine. The bike arrives in a somewhat retro color scheme with bright white and red accents, complete with the black trim of the belly pan, frame, engine and wheels.
The YZF-R1 World GP 50th Anniversary Edition retains the tech upgrades the standard R1 received for this model year, including the 7-way traction control system, revised ergonomics and updated front fairing, LED lighting and MotoGP-look-alike exhaust canisters.
