The Yamaha XV1000 Virago was a V-Twin, four-stroke cruiser motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1983 and 1985. It could reach a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 63.56 HP (47.4 KW) @ 6500 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a air cooled v2, two-stroke. A 11.0mm bore x 69.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the life on a plate.
Chassis
It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 140/90-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. 0 in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). 0 in the rear. The front suspension was a ok while the rear was equipped with a double shock. The XV1000 Virago was fitted with a 4.44 Gallon (16.80 Liters) fuel tank.
