It came with a 120/70 - 15in front tire and a 150/70 - 13in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 280 mm discs, 2-piston floating calipers in the front and a single 240 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 35 mm hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual double-acting hydraulic shock absorbers with adjustable spring preloading in 4 positions. The X10 125 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 63.82 inches (1621 mm) long.

The 2012 MY Piaggio X10 125 has the smallest displacement in the X10 series, sporting a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder lump mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). As its siblings, it features dual front disc brakes, and a single rear one, which significantly decrease stopping distance, and can be fitted with modern technologies such as ABS and ASR. In addition, it comes with a spacious dual seat, with lumbar support for the rider, pillion grab rails, and a generous under-seat storage capacity. Also, there are two selectable engine mappings, one designed for the best power output, for fast daily commutes, and an economical one, better suited for longer hauls.
