Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 48.0mm bore x 34.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 250.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.
Chassis
It came with a 100/80-17 52h front tire and a 120/80-17 61h rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. 4-piston calipers in the front and a single disc. 2-piston calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Monoshock. The FZR250 was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 310.85 pounds (141.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 54.13 inches (1375 mm) long.
1986 - 1995 Yamaha FZR 250
The FZR is the best choice. It dosen`t look as cute or as trick as Suzuki either, but its engine is much better. The FZR comes equipped with a transverse four cylinder, four stroke liquid-cooled motor.
