The Suzuki SV 400N was a Four stroke, V-twin, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Suzuki in 1984. Max torque was 30.24 ft/lbs (41.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 52.97 HP (39.5 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

Engine

A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.

Chassis

It came with a 120/60 -17 front tire and a 160/60 -17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 290 mm in the front and a Single disc 240 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Monoshock, preload adjustable. The wheelbase was 55.71 inches (1415 mm) long.

The Suzuki SV 400N, launched in 1994, had a liquid-cooled 90° V-twin engine, mounted in an lightweight (aluminum) trellis frame, similar to the TL 1000S. Two model version were available, the naked SV 400N with a single round headlight, and the SV 400S, with top fairing and two headlight and some other differences, like lower handlebars.
