DriveEdit
The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual, hydraulic control.
ChassisEdit
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm fully-adjustable upside-down forks while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fully-adjustable monoshock, side-mounted. The Sport 1000S Limited Edition was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 56.1 inches (1425 mm) long.
2007 Ducati Sport 1000S Limited EditionEdit
The 2007 MY Ducati Sport 1000S Limited Edition is available only for US customers, and is inspired from the 1978 900SS Darmah. This machine is a single seat version, and has a special black paint scheme with gold detailing, sure to fit the taste of the more nostalgic among Ducati fans, and not only. It has been limited to only 90 units.
In addition, it has, at its heart, a four-stroke, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 992cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerhouse, mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 92 horsepower and 91 Nm of torque.
In all other departments, it has the same specs, features and technologies as the Ducati Sport 1000 Monoposto.
