The Aermacchi Ala Verde Sport was a single cylinder, four-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Aermacchi between 1959 and 1970. It could reach a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 18.1 HP (13.5 KW) @ 7000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 66.0mm bore x 72.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 246.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-18 front tire and a 3.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic -geriani while the rear was equipped with a swingarm-two shocks. The Ala Verde Sport was fitted with a 4.49 Gallon (17.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 297.62 pounds (135.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 52.01 inches (1321 mm) long.
1959 - 1972 Aermacchi Ala Verde[edit | edit source]
The classic single-cylinder four-stroke engine with an almost horizontal cylinder was derived from the less successful Chimera . It delivers 16 hp (11.8 kW).
