The Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Rally was a V90 four-stroke longitudinal 90degree V-twin engine Sport touring motorcycle produced by Aprilia in 2015. Max torque was 84.09 ft/lbs (114.0 Nm) @ 6800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 124.98 HP (93.2 KW) @ 8250 RPM.

A 106.7mm bore x 106.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1197.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 R19 front tire and a 170/60 R17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320 mm stainless steel floating discs in the front and a 240 mm stainless steel disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 43 mm Sachs upside-down front fork with fully adjustable compression and rebound damping and spring preload while the rear was equipped with a aluminum alloy swingarm Sachs hydraulic shock absorber with adjustable rebound and preload. The wheelbase was 61.61 inches (1565 mm) long.
2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Rally[edit | edit source]
After the successful and versatile Caponord 1200, the Italian engineers from Aprilia didn't want to stop there. For 2014, they introduced the 2015 MY Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Rally, a touring motorcycle that one can ride off the road in full confidence. Sporting a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 1197cc L-twin, the two-wheeler suits almost any rider who's tall and strong enough. Whether for a daily commute, a weekend haul on/off the road, the Caponord can do it all.
Available only for European customers, the Rally version comes standard with almost everything one would want to have equipped on a multiple-purpose motorcycle. Features such as ride-by-wire, two-channel ABS, Aprilia Traction Control (ATC), Aprilia Dynamic Damping (ADD), Aprilia Cruise Control (ACC), a pair of panniers, adjustable windshield, hand and side guards, a pair of supplementary LED lights and wire-spoked wheels with 19" front and 17" rear tires.
