The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-R17 front tire and a 180/55-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320 mm stainless steel floating discs in the front and a 240 mm stainless steel disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 43 mm Sachs upside-down front fork with fully adjustable compression and rebound damping and spring preload while the rear was equipped with a aluminum alloy swingarm Sachs hydraulic shock absorber with adjustable rebound and preload. The wheelbase was 61.61 inches (1565 mm) long.

The 2015 MY Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack sports a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 1197cc L-twin engine, which produces 125 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. The two-wheeler is a versatile one, able so satisfy a wide range of riders, whether if it's for a daily commute, a weekend trip or cross-continental journeys.
The Caponord comes standard with all the advanced technology Aprilia put in their flagship RSV4 but tuned down a bit to be more user-friendly. It sports features like the ride-by-wire, two-channel ABS and Aprilia Traction Control(ATC).
The Travel Pack outfitting makes it more comfortable and more suited for longer hauls. It consists of Aprilia Dynamic Damping (ADD) suspensions, Aprilia Cruise Control (ACC), a piggyback shock absorber in the rear, spring preload that is electrically adjustable to 4 predefined settings or automatic, a pair of panniers and a center stand.
