The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/50 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Ohlins Upside-down Fork while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins adjustable shock absorber with APS. The wheelbase was 55.71 inches (1415 mm) long.
2003 Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards[edit | edit source]
The 2003 MY Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 998cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission and can produce a claimed 138 horsepower and 107 Nm of torque.
This machine has been created in honor of Colin Edwards, nicknamed the "Texas Tornado", who in the same year joined the Aprilia MotoGP team. Unlike the RSV 1000 R, this machine also comes standard with a livery copied from the official MotoGP machine, a dual, high-end Akrapovic dual exhaust system which improves performance, a modified engine mapping and carbon fiber body-parts.
