The BMW F850GS Adventure was a twin, four-stroke Adventure motorcycle produced by BMW between 2018 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 122 mph (197 km/h). Max torque was 67.86 ft/lbs (92.0 Nm) @ 6250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 92.93 HP (69.3 KW) @ 8250 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 84.0mm bore x 77.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 853.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiple-disc clutch in oil bath, mechanically operated.
Chassis
It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 150/70-r17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. floating discs. two-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. floating disc. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic fork, ø 43 mm while the rear was equipped with a cast aluminum dual swing arm, central wad spring strut, spring pre-load hydraulically adjustable, rebound damping adjustable. The F850GS Adventure was fitted with a 6.08 Gallon (23.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 62.72 inches (1593 mm) long.
2018 BMW F 850 GS
The new model of the BMW F850 GS combines the characteristics of the touring with the supreme off-road abilities. The heart of the F 850 GS is the new in-line 2-cylinder engine with two counterbalance shafts and a 270/450 degree burn range for optimized smoothness. The new engine generates 95 hp (75 kW) at 8250 rpm and 92 Nm (67.8 lb-ft) at 6250 rpm. F 850 GS also feature a completely new look, which benefits from a more dynamic and masculine design. In addition to the basic version, the new F models are also available in Exclusive style variantion.
