The '''[[BMW]] R 1100 S''' was a Standard [[motorcycle]] produced by [[BMW]] between 1999 and 2006. It could reach a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). Max [[torque]] was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 5750 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 98.03 HP (73.1 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

It comes standard with the trademark Telelever front and Paralever rear suspension, which offers a plush ride as well as improved maneuverability. Other features such as the seat cowling, the aerodynamic half-fairing and windshield, as well as the adjustable front brake and clutch levers add to the desirabilty and functionality of this machine. 

Zie Germans also offer ABS II, a sport-suspension package or  a larger 5.5" rear tire as optionals, for improved performance, whether on the open-road or on the race track.
