The BMW R1200RS was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by BMW between 2015 and 2019. Max torque was 92.2 ft/lbs (125.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 122.3 HP (91.2 KW) @ 7750 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 101.0mm bore x 73.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1170.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet eight-disc clutch with anti-hopping function, hyrdaulically operated.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. four-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. floating disc. two-piston calipers. in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic fork, diameter 45 mm, travel 140 mm, silver-anodized while the rear was equipped with a bmw motorrad evo paralever. The R1200RS was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 436.52 pounds (198.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 60.12 inches (1527 mm) long.
