The BMW R 52 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, single vertical cylinder, SV Classic motorcycle produced by BMW in 1929. Claimed horsepower was 11.94 HP (8.9 KW) @ 3400 RPM.

Engine
A 63.5mm bore x 63.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 486.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive
The bike has a 3-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.

Chassis
It came with a 26 x 3.5 front tire and a 26 x 3.5 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 150mm drum in the front and a block brake in the rear. The front suspension was a  plate spring fork while the rear was equipped with a hard-tail, sprung seat.

The 1928 BMW R 52 has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 486cc, single vertical cylinder engine mated to a three-speed manual transmission and can produce 12 horsepower at 3400 rpm. It comes with a plate spring fork, a hard-tail rear suspension, a sprung, single saddle, a front drum brake coupled to a block brake in the rear, laced wheels, a large headlamp, full fenders and a rear luggage rack.
