The 1984 MY BMW R 80 G/S Paris Dakar is a more off-road oriented version of the base model, that was slightly tweaked here and there to offer the best possible performance, safety and comfort when off the beaten track. Unlike the base model, it comes with a single seat, a rear luggage rack, an under-seat exhaust system, knobby tires mounted on laced wheels, and an extra-large, 32-liter (8.4-gallon) fuel tank. In all other departments, it has the same specs and features as the base R 80 G/S.
