Engine
A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis
It came with a 2.75 - 21 front tire and a 3.00 - 18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 260mm disc in the front and a drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable monoshock.

The 1987 MY Benelli 125BX has, at its heart, an air-cooled, two-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder lump mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 24 horsepower at 9000 rpm. This enduro machine also boasts laced wheels with knobby tires mounted on them, a dual seat, a small luggage rack in the rear, passenger grab rails, and a suspension package composed of a telescopic fork in the front and an adjustable monoshock in the rear.
