The Beta Evo 300 was a single cylinder, 2-stroke, liquid-cooled Trial motorcycle produced by Beta between 2010 and 2017.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 299.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a Michelin Trial 21 front tire and a Michelin Trial 18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 185mm rotor with 4-piston caliper in the front and a 160mm rotor with twin-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 38mm Paioli while the rear was equipped with a adjustable single shock, aluminum bodied, with nitrogen valve including linkage. The wheelbase was 51.42 inches (1306 mm) long.
2013 Beta Evo 300[edit | edit source]
The 2013 My Beta Evo 300 comes with a two-stroke, liquid-cooled, 299cc engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, with an improved shift drum for smoother gear shifts, like many of its siblings in this model year.
A front fork with a new settings and a rear shock with new internal components make the two-wheeler agiler and provide enhanced confidence when heading for areas where complex maneuvers are required.
The frame is red, and the plastics white, giving the 300 an edgy, aggressive look.
2014 Beta Evo 300[edit | edit source]
The 2014 MY Beta Evo 300 sports a two-stroke, liquid-cooled, 299cc, single cylinder engine paired to a six-speed, manual transmission. The engine has excellent power delivery at all rev ranges, making this bike one of the favourite purchases for trial riders everywhere.
In the 2014 MY, Beta introduced a new engine mapping that improves traction. The engine also received a makeover that included new primary gear ratios, a new plastic water-pump drive-gear and, also, a lighter-pull clutch lever. These improvements and tweaks made by the Florentine engineers made the Evo 300 more user-friendly, with easier starts, smoother gear shifts and better power output altogether.
2015 Beta Evo 300[edit | edit source]
The 2015 MY Beta Evo 300 has the biggest displacement engine in the Evo series, a two-stroke, liquid-cooled, 299cc, single cylinder paired to a six-speed manual transmission. Also, a new head cover with a coolant bleed plug has been installed on the engine.
Great for the more seasoned trial riders, the Evo 300 gives off a balanced power deployment throughout the rev range. The exhaust pipe has been redesigned so that it provides more power at low revs, unlike its previous incarnations but without lowering the power output at high rpm.
2017 Beta EVO 300[edit | edit source]
For the 2017 models engineers have focused their efforts on the engine, giving each of the engine sizes in the EVO range a distinctive personality, intended for a specific user. With all EVO two-strokes and four-strokes the Sachs single shock now features new valve settings to improve the rebound feel, which allows the shock to work better in junction with the front fork.
