A 99.1mm bore x 99.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 996.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/65 ZR17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm disc, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 230mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 46mm Paioli upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins fully-adjustable mono-shock.
2000 Bimota SB8R Special[edit | edit source]
The 2000 MY Bimota SB8R Special has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 996cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 133 horsepower an 93 Nm of torque.
Also, it comes with a single seat, a digital and analogue instrumentation panel, a small windscreen, a full-fairing, blacked-out, forged-aluminum wheels, dual headlamps, an under-seat exhaust system, Brembo brakes with dual front discs and a single disc in the rear and a race-grade suspension package with a 46mm Paioli inverted fork and a fully-adjustable Ohlins mono-shock.
