A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1330.0 cubic centimeters.

DriveEdit

The bike has a 6-speed, manual or semi-auto, both with reverse transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc.

ChassisEdit

It came with a 165 / 55 R15 front tire and a 225 / 50 R15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 270 mm discs with Brembo 4-piston fixed calipers in the front and a 270 mm disc with Brembo single-piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm with anti-roll bar, Sachs shocks while the rear was equipped with a swing arm, air preload SACHS shock. The wheelbase was 67.52 inches (1715 mm) long.

2011 Can-Am/ Brp Spyder RT-SEdit

       

The 2011 MY Can-Am Spyder RT-S sports a liquid-cooled, 998cc, Rotax V-twin powerplant that produces 100 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque. As opposed to the base model, the "S"-suffix means additional features such as the aluminum, six-spoked Smoked Chrome front wheels, two additional rear speakers with independent pillion passenger audio controls, fog lamps and LED running lights, five LED accent lights, a 3.5mm audio player input, a front cargo light and liner, as well as a choice between four paint schemes, Orbital Blue Metallic, Timeless Black Metallic, Viper Red or Pure Magnesium Metallic.


2012 Can-Am/ Brp Spyder RT-SEdit

         

The 2012 MY Can-Am Spyder RT-S sports a powerful, liquid-cooled, 998cc, Rotax V-Twin powerplant that produces 100 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque. Being an "S"-suffixed version from Can-Am's touring family, it has improvements such as the aluminum six-spoked wheels with Dark Mist Gray finish, electronically adjustable rear air suspension with auto leveling, two additional rear speaker with independent passenger audio controls, fog lamps and LED running lights, a 3.5mm audio player input and a front cargo light and front liner, plus chrome-plating on various components. All these improvements make for a trike better suited for longer hauls, as well as a more powerful one.


2013 Can-Am/ Brp Spyder RT-SEdit

         

For riders who want a little more grunt out of their touring trike, as well as looks to match that increased grunt, the engineers from Can-Am have released the 2013 MY Spyder RT-S. It sports additional features that increase its desirability, such as the electronically-adjustable rear air suspension, twelve-spoked, Carbon-black front rims, redesigned front fenders with integrated LED lights, heated passenger grips, a front cargo light and liner, a push-button electronic front cargo release as well as a carbon-black finish to various parts of this reverse trike.

At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, 998cc, Rotax V-twin powerplant that produces 100 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque.


2014 Can-Am/ Brp Spyder RT-SEdit

         

The engineers from Can-Am have taken the Spyder RT up a notch, in the embodiment of the 2014 MY Can-AM Spyder RT-S. At its heart lies the new, liquid-cooled, 1330cc, Rotax Ace in-line three cylinders powerhouse mated to a dependable, six-speed, manual or semiautomatic, transmission, and can produce 115 horsepower and a gut-churning 130 Nm of torque. They have fitted the trike with adjustable rear air-suspension, twelve-spoked, Carbon Black front wheels, heated passenger grips, a front cargo light and liner, a push-button electronic front cargo release, as well as visual touches such as the two-tone seat and various parts of the trike painted in Carbon Black or Satin Chrome. All these add to a reverse trike with improved touring capabilities, as well as a more modern, aggressive overall look.


2015 Can-Am/ Brp Spyder RT-SEdit

2016 Can-Am/ Brp SPYDER RT-SEdit

     

This 6-speed transmission offers the perfect balance of comfort and fuel economy thanks to a sophisticated hydraulic clutch system. Cruise comfortably at low RPMs with your choice of manual or semi-automatic transmission. Both include reverse. The semi-automatic version uses thumb and index finger paddle shifting.
