The Ducati 55 was a Single cylinder, 4-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Ducati in 1955. Claimed horsepower was 1.34 HP (1.0 KW) @ 5500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 38.1mm bore x 38.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 48.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 2-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.00-18 CEAT front tire and a 2.00-18 CEAT rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Non-adjustable twin hydraulic shocks, swingarm. The wheelbase was 42.91 inches (1090 mm) long.
1955 - 1957 Ducati 55[edit | edit source]
Ducati 55 has the same 48cc engine, it had an uprated frame with leading link forks. 55E model variant had a rear suspension whilst the 55R was rigid.
