Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a gear transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multi-plate, hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/60 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The wheelbase was 55.51 inches (1410 mm) long.
1998 Ducati 748L Neiman Marcus Limited Edition[edit | edit source]
The 1998 MY Ducati 748L Neiman Marcus Limited Edition has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 748cc, 90-degree V-Twin cylinder desmodromic powerhouse mated to a five-speed manual transmission that can produce a claimed 96 horsepower and 75 Nm of torque.
Only 100 of these machines were ever built, and could have been purchased exclusively through the Neiman Marcus catalog. What set this machine apart from the other models from the Borgo Panigale line-up was its Mercury metallic paint scheme and a carbon fiber front fender and chain guard.
