The Ducati 749R was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2006. Max torque was 59.01 ft/lbs (80.0 Nm) @ 8500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 118.01 HP (88.0 KW) @ 10250 RPM.

Drive
The bike has a gear transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multi-plate, hydraulic control.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Ohlins fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a fully-adjustable Ohlins monoshock with progressive linkage. The 2006 MY Ducati 749R is a race-ready machine from the House of Bologna, that offers one of the best power outputs in its class. It sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 748cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission and can reach a maximum power output of 118 horsepower and 80 Nm of torque.
Also, it comes with an Ohlins suspension package, composed of a fully-adjustable upside-down fork in the front and a fully-adjustable rear monoshock with a progressive linkage, a Brembo braking system, a full-fairing, a small windscreen, a single seat, a digital instrumentation panel, cast-aluminum wheels and a steel trellis frame.
